Hi All,

Anyone using or have used this pump? Its silver in color and their Pro Series saying its good for up to 1250 HP---forced air induction.

I would imagine this pump would pump like mad, if anyone is using it what are you using as a return line out of the regulator? Not sure the stock return line could handle it.

If anyone is using it let em know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Rich,
I considered this pump in for my "Stage 2 " ready fuel system. I eventually settled on the Weldon. The pump u speak of should be a tad quieter but not by much. I couldnt find much info on the Aeromotive, or anyone using it, but many were with the Weldon.

I use my stock feed line as a return with no pressure control problems,So im sure it will return fine with the Aeromotive.

BTW mine is a 2015 model with -12 from the sump to the pump,
-10 to the stock location on the rail.I have some pics on my page down below.

I was talking to Chuck Leeper about that pump on Saturday.I think he said you need a -8 return line with a high flow regulator.

What I learned...pumps

I have had several conversations w/ Weldon and also Brett Clow at Aeromotive..
1. Aeromotive pt # 11104, ELIMINATOR [up to 900 forced ind] -12AN feed to the pump w/ a 70 to 100 micron filter between the tank and pump. -10AN from pump to 10 micron filter. -10AN to "Y" block and then -8AN to both ends of the rail.
Return lines are from both ends of the rail, and is recommended to be -6AN, with -6AN line from reg to tank. Return tube at the tank should be opposite the feed line and extend down below fuel level. This helps cool the fuel B4 it's returned to the pump, and keeps air bubbles in the fuel at a minimum.
If using a check valve, the valve should be AFTER the pump and before the 10 micron filter.
The regulator, pt # 13109 can be used.
Filter pt # 12601, [10 micron] can be used in the -10 feed line. The pre-filter b4 the pump is pt# 12302. [100 micron]. It has -12An fittings on both ends.

2. Aeromotive pt # 11102, Pro-Series, [up to 1250 forced ind]
can use the same plumbing as the Eliminator on the feed side. The changes come on the return side lines, and the regulator size.
It's recommended to use a -8AN off the rails to the reg, [pt # 13110, Pro-Series reg].
It is also necessary to use -8AN as the return line.

3. Weldon recommends the 2015 to 800 HP. You can order the pump, using the "B" prefix to get the -12AN inlet and the -10AN outlets. It can be plumbed the same as the Aeromotive Eliminator pump.
The regulator is pt # 2040. You have to specify the bypass orifice,[.200 for hi pressure] what fuel you are using, [gas or alky] and the desired pressure range. [dash 120 for a range of 30 to 120psi]

The next step up from Weldon is the 2025, good to 1300 and then the "NUCLEAR" pump, the 2035.. for over 1300!! Not going to use these, so I did no research....:D :D :D

IF you are using a stock tank, DO NOT block off the charcoal cannister line to the tank!! You will shut off the vent and the pump WILL get hot, boil the fuel, possibly fail and do all sorts of nasty stuff to the system!!

HTH,

I actually run this Aero 11102 pump, -10 to the rail, -8 crossover, CAS regulator/rails, single -6 return to cell.

Guys,

Thanks for all the replies, appreciate it. I was thinking you'd need a -6 line as a return.

For you guys running a -6 and -8 return line what regulator are you using and what size fitting does the regulator use to fit into the -6 or -8 line?

Thanks again for all the info.....good stuff.

Reg?/

Rich, I use the Areomotive pt # 13109. [matched to pump pt # 11104] The fittings are strait thread w/ o'ring in the reg w/ either -6 or -8 on the outlet side.
You have to buy the fittings seperately. U can get them from Aeromotive or the Aeroquip fittings will work too.;)
