how long does the pump need to run before its ok to drive? been running about 5/10 mins.....

New accumulator, huh? Normal braking with full assist? If so, I would say you have either a weak pump or a switch problem. Buy a reman. powermaster and be done with it. That, or convert to a vacuum unit. Maybe I'll see you at the dream cruise....

unsure if new, local guy let me try it, haven driven yet as the pump keeps running, didnt do that before i changed the accu
 
Pump should not run for more than 20 seconds. Are you sure the suction port of the PM reservoir is covered with brake fluid? As was posted in the tech section, you'll burn that PM motor up running for that kind of time period.
