Here is the complete rundown of how installed a Quicksilver shifter in mine. Forget about saving the console to return to stock, you need to do some trimming under the main console plate for this to work. My GN will never return to stock as long as I own it and I don't really care about the next guy.

Was it necessary to install an aftermarket shifter? Not really, but always looking for little projects to do.

Here is the link with plenty of pics.............. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/ge...26-quicksilver-shifter-installation-pics.html

Only complaint with the setup, you can't really tell what gear you are in by the indicator,it is close but not easily readable while driving. Since the install I had my engraver make up a new gear indicator overlay that matches up with the Quicksilver gear postions.

Hey Mark,
Just so you know...I would have already purchased one of your new console risers, but I cant pull my shifter all the way back to set the transbrake with it sitting there. If you look at my pic, you will see my shifter sits back alittle further then factory. I set my shifter in the car and then built the riser block underneath so when I am strapped in with the 5 point harness, I can reach the shifter and hit all the necessary positions and reach the rev switch. I really wanted one, but when you said it covers the ashtray...I knew I was out of the running:(. Just wanted you to know.

Thanks for a great product.

B&M Pro Stick in the factory console here. I love it. Just grab the next gear. No worrying about hitting the wrong gear. With Marks plate for a TH400 reverse pattern valvebody it looks awesome.

Trying to get the manufacturer to offer a cupholder delete version. AND possibly a shorter one with the cupholders that will allow the switch panel to be accessed. We'll see what happens.:)
