What are those? I looked them up at the bible (gnttype.org) and the only thing that I could make of the explanation that the codes have something to do with improperly seated CALPACK/ECM ?!?!?!?! Keeping in mind my recent tipin troubles... is this related? Or am I faced with a completely different animal?! PLEASE SHED NERO SOME LIGHT!

I was able to immediately start 'er right back up, but I was on my way to work...so is there anything I can do at lunch? Should I pull the ECM from the kick panel and "adjust" the CALPACK (what is/does the CALPACK look like?)

OK all... thanks in advance!

The cal pack is a small removable ROM chip, much smaller than the normal PROM. It is in a miniature version of the same plastic carrier the PROM is in. Pull both chips out and clean the contacts off with a finger or better still a Q-tip with alcohol on it. I would unplug the 2 main harness connectors from the ECM as well and reseat them.

Are those chips in the ECM? So I take the big silver ECM fromthe kick panel and take i tapart and I should see the two chips you speak of?

:)

Thanks for the patience!

Yes, both are in the ECM, pull the ECM out of the kick panel being careful not to reef of the harnesses. I take a lot of care in twisting the whole thing around to get at the chip. Open the little panel on the ECM. Both chips are in view with the little panel removed. Both have the plastic carriers on them. The calpack is about an inch long and just over 1/4" wide.

Will do this tonight after work and class, I don't want to be in a rush when handling this thing!

Thanks!!!

Now, if I can only get in touch with Red Regal T for a fresh coilpack/module...

thanks again, bro!
