I have heard that Red Armstrong has an air actuated intercooler scoop. The air cylinder extends outward at 10psi and has a spring return. I am looking for info as to where I might find something like this.

whatttttttt? never heard of such a thing....what's it do? open the scoop more?
interesting....

Check the latest GMHTP for a feature about Red's wife, Jane, and her car with this scoop on it. Just call or e-mail him for info about this set-up. :)

Hmm- wastegate actuator could work..I'll have to see if there is enough travel. I might have to give Red a call. Thanks.

Salvage: I don't like to leave it open on the steet in case I hit something. If I'm racing it is usually on flat ground and I like to lower it all the way, which is about 3" from ground. I have ran the car both ways and It makes a BIG difference if the scoop is wide open.
