Air bag install question

I don't see any other way to run the air line from my passenger side bag then from the bottom "nipple" out of the bag, up to to the frame/suspension area where I can zip tie it and then run it through the frame and back to the bumper. But, where is goes up after leaving the "nipple" the hose is touching the exhaust pipe that comes out of the muffler and exits. At least the driver side is the hotter pipe since most of it flows out there, but still, is this bad? Can it be avoided? If anyone ran it a different way, please describe, or pics would be great!

I go up to the fuel lines, then around the tank. You need a longer hose, but it keeps it away from the pipes.

hmm, yeah. I'm dealing with the hose that came with the kit.
Worst case I was thinking about wrapping it a bit with electrical tape...

I smoked the hose that came with the kit in one ten mile ride to work after the install
I used rubber vacuum line which runs up through the frame and to the bumper. You could use that if you want to extend your line like UNGN said. Short of zip tying to the coil there is not much to hook to!

jeez...seems like a disign flaw somewhere. Makes me uncomfortable that mine is resting agsint the exhaust pipe.
I wish my kit form Cottons would have come with directions so they could have recommended how I route that.

I think I ran my hoses off the top of my air bags (could be wrong),then came together with the lines at a fuel line then across the top of the gas tank and mounted the valve stems behind the licence plate. I used the holes from the rubber bumpers that the plate rested on. Now when I close my licence plate it rests against the plastic valve stem caps. I had just the right amount of hose to reach. And of coarse I went through a hand full of zipties.

Mine is coming off of the bottom (I have the hose/nipple pointing down). I guess it's that way for good. I can't imagine getting an airbag out without cutting it is a real possibility. Argh..this is frustrating.

its not that way for good let all the air out of bag jack up car make sure spring is fully extended squeeze bag and it should come right out.didnt like the nippels facing up hose was kinking from coil spring compressing on it.take your time zippie with just enough slack before it goes in to the frame you should be ok.
maybe some copper tubing over that part of the hose.

I also wonder if heat-resistant shrink wrapping the hose there would work. Pain because I'd have to undo the routing of the hose but.... Wonder if they make heat resistant tape I could wrap it in??

Oops, I was wrong. My lines do run out the bottom of the springs then twards the frount of the car about a foot. They then run up the back of the frame that the upper control arms mount to and back accross the coil springs and upper shock mounts. I also slid them through the stock exhaust hangers and accross the top of the tank to the licence plate frame as posted above. Hope this makes sense.

wow you guys had that much if a mission trying to route these lines i have owned about 4 g-bodys now and if it was not bags it was shocks and routing the line was easy nothing good ole tie wraps can't handle.....
i have turndowns on my TR but it is equally possible with an exhaust system just not as much space for me heat never was the case it was always a leaky skock but anyways
i took off the air lift airbag system off of my Impy SS and put them on the TR the car launchs bad a$$ on the street but still have not taken it to the track....
look for whatever you see up under the body of that car that a tie wrap could go, then tuck it somewhat above the gas tank on both sides eun it inwards towards the rear if the car then tie wrap it to the bumper support or anywhere you see possible but keep the tension there and wrap it i put them coming out of the bottom of the bumper right to the side under the little guards i took out 2 bolts andand fitted the valves tightly and put little chrome hex caps looks bad since i have the chrome bumpers....

but you should not have to go buying more line for what, what comes in the kit should be sufficient.....

Wow... The period, . , is a beatiful thing! It makes things a bit easier to read.
Anyway, thanks for the adivice. I ended up sending the hose almost right back up near the spring and zip-tieing it to an exhaust hanger/insert piece, then over to near the top of the shock, and into the frame.
