Most action I saw was the Sniper that went batty in front of the building, and some huge bar fights at John J's, lol. The forced road marches sure as hell didn't help my lower extremities. I think I got out with 33 jumps. Out of all of those only about 5 were Hollywoods. I had one good door position while in the Eighty Deuce and the fricken Jumpmaster put us into the trees, the two Majors stuck in the trees with me were pissed.

LOL I seen alot of stray packed up dogs released on the post then I seen a bunch of friends with 6 yrs in with familys get bar'd for blowing a .07 ..whats that? 2 beers?

turned into a big joke and was glad to get out but now its caught up to my bones as of late, hard to walk upstairs to bed let alone get the motivation to go out in garage..but maybe thats what i need.

really starting to get cabin fever and winter has just begun

I see some people with a few jumps...who has had concussions from bad landings:confused: I actually ended up getting my Irish jump wings lastweek...toydrop jump

I saw 2 people come down unconscious, they hit their head on the side of a C-130. I also saw a guys chute collapse 75 ft above the ground and he broke his back. I racked my n*ts once and took a couple hard hits to the head at Holland but I doubt I ever took a concussion from it.

My bird was scratched the night that F-16 hit that C-130 and all those jumpers, lady luck was on my side that night.

Are you talking about the sniper at Towle stadium? I think that was the name of it. Bastogne drive runs right next to it. We used to eat at the 319 chow hall all the time, great food there. Our chow hall sucked. We were in building C4422. You should have been close by.

On requalifying jump after returning from saudi and kuwait in may 98 a friend was jumping behind me. It was an easy hollywood jump. When he didnt show at the bleachers at sicily DZ, the medics went looking for the good ole chem light. He broke his femur. Compound break too. That really messed up his career.

We jumped onto the Tarmac at Pope AFB for an airshow. That wasnt as hard of a landing as jumping onto Geronimo DZ at JRTC. That is full of craters and hard clay. ouch!!!

William Kreutzer, it was the field right below the Bowling Alley by Carantan and Ardennes. He shot 22, 2 died, triage was in our assemble area and I was on the front porch when it all went down. I was probably the first 911 call on it as well. I believe the 82nd is in new barracks now and they tore our old ones down.
