Yes, I am a Cub fan but I was sick to my stomach when that umpire put his nutsack in his pocket and allowed A.J. Pierzinski to give him the big sausage right where the sun dont shine  and con his way to first base after striking out for the 3rd out of the 9th. I always felt that a game should be decided by the players and not the umpires, and last nights nonsense is a perfect example. The worst part about the blown call was the next day at work where all these "new" Sox fans are flappin their no-baseball knowing mouths about how the baseball bounced on the ground then up into the glove. So far, I heard one guy explain the incident the way I saw it(and actually happened) and that was Terry Kennedy from the Fox Broadcast. He basically said that the ball actually hits the webbing of the catchers glove and then bounces up into the gloves pocket. Notice that the catchers glove is inverted making that explanation very correct. Also wouldnt the dirt get disturbed if the ball hit it before hitting the glove? I only hope that justice is done in the end, because the Mullet wearing "new" White Sox fans are so hard to live with as it is now. I cant imahine how ugly it will get if they win it all!    :frown: :(

Cubs fans here,,well sort of.... But have to disagree with you a 90mph fast ball hitting the webbing of a glove and clearly changing direction is just not possible,,,this morning I finally seen the replay i was waiting for and it was the close up,,yes the ball did appear to bounce up ,,but not from a crack head catchers mit....my .02

Denns

Worst playoff call ever by far.

Umpires these days basically suck.

I don't like either team. :p

All the catcher would have to do is tag the guy like they usually do if the ball bounces, it's a reflex move by them to jump up and tag them.

The ball never bounced he caught it cleanly.

Terrible call.

The home plate umpire called strike three AND third out! Inning is over at that point ,and Angel players were walking off the field. Terrible call and it really sux that it decided the game.

Maybe the Angels' pitcher should have done his job and gotten the next guy out??? I guess he blew it too.

I hope the Angels aren't like the Cubs were a few years ago with the foul ball/fan interference deal. The Cubs were just looking for an excuse to lose and were given one.
