What do you guys recom as far as mixture 50x50 70x30 or maybe straight alcohol? What do most guys use?Do i have to increase fuel pressures?

What is the application? A GN? If not turbo or supercharged?

My advice is to always start with 100% alcohol, get the car running well, and then add water in 10% increments until you cannot increase boost or timing with getting KR.

There is obviously much more to it then that, but this will be a good starting point

blackbuick87 is right . Too many variables. Generally speaking a 70% mixture is about right. Oddly enough I hear of others (or do myself) turn the FP up.

SMC reccomends no less than 70% mix, if that is a help to you...

Let me get this right the alcohol raises the octane level and the water cools down intake temp?

Basically the alcohol cools the intake charge, allowing more oxygen in. (more potential for power) The water aids the combustion process, and lowers the cylinder temps by carrying the excess heat out of the engine in the form of steam. This reduces knock, and allows one to crank up the boost.

Do an internet search on Ray Hall Turbocharging, Aquamist water injection as well.

(in my best W.C. fields voice) "now go away boy, you bother me!" :)

It's all here so you can do a search on the board as well. ;)
