alcohol vs race gas

Would there be any difference in performance (race gas vs alcohol+93) using an Extender 23* chip and 23-24# boost?

Not if you get it dialed in and dont run too rich. This is where an EGT meter really helps.

Alcohol (at least methanol) should give much better performance, if you use enough of it. I get 20F inlet temps on a 80F day. Without methanol it would be 90F inlet temps. That's a 70F difference, which should be well over 10% increase in air density.

at those boost levels i'd say you could get them both to run the same.

there will be a big difference between those boost/power levels and those you can reach with pure c16 and higher timing and boost (26º/28-30#).

I didn't think there were be much if any gain since the chip timing and boost would be the same. I agree with the higher boost/timing though.
