1st timer.be patient,gentile with me.im lookin for some help with 87gn my 16 yr. old son & i are working on.its completely stock,there are 2 vacume lines that come out turbo,1 goes to rod for wastegate,im guessing ,other is coming out of the turbo housing where it goes to intercooler.neither are hooked up & we dont know which vacume source they go to.ther is a vacume block on pass side valve cover,with elect. wires going to it and 2 places for vac. lines.cant find pics. anywhere.any such diagrams exist anywhere?also when boost is high and you get out of throttle,theres a loud fluttering noise for a couple seconds,is that normal?

The sound you hear when you get out of the gas is normal. I got the above information from Steve Woods web site. A good place to start reading about these cars. Vortex Buicks

The way mine is set up is the piece on the v/c has 2 ports. The one closest the firewall is open to atmosphere the other goes to the "y" then to the compressor. Then the other part of the ''y'' goes to the waste gate under the turbo.
Because it's a ''y'' there is a direction of flow. Basically when installed it will be upside down so the compressor line is a "straight" shot to the sol. on the v/c and the angle coming off the ''y'' will go to the w/g.
Fluttering sound is compressor surge.
