Alky controller in dash applique

Can someone tell me how hard it is to take the box apart and install it in one of Mark's custom dash applique's?

open the box , remove the knob (thin screwdriver) remove the nut and star washer
remove the nut for the test button
for the led bulb in center from backside spread the plastic open and pull bulb out , then pop out the bulb holder for the new plate
fit the component into the new plate
on the dash bezel you need to cut out some plastic for the controls to slide in (i remove OE the overlay first)
and youll need to remove some white plastic from bottom of the gauge cluster (use pliers and just twist off )
I secure the control wire into the dash bezel by gluing the wire into the crevice by the column ,
you can even drill a small hole on column side and use a ziptie there

So couple of questions-
1-the OEM applique [smaller] piece pops out/comes off easily? I don't want to mess up my original
2-how would you take the whole dash surround off in the future? Wouldn't there be short wires attached to it not letting you take it off?

the old applique can be removed its glued on i use a 90deg pick and slide it under to separate it from bezel
as for removing bezel , the controller has plenty of cord with a disconnect , just pull the bezel and then disconnect cord and pull it out
