alky conversion

hey guys i did a search for an alky conversion but could not find any info so i hope you can help how hard would it be to run alky instead of gas an what all needs to be replaced for it thanks

Well to start you would need a new fuel system from pump to injector designed to handle alcohol. All hard lines no rubber at all. You would need a new chip designed with different fuel and timing curves also. Thats just the beginning. You would need to spend a lot of time learning about alcohol as a fuel and do a lot of tuning just to get it faster than gasoline.

Blackbuick is right.

Specifically, all tank and lines would need to be stainless. Injectors would need to be stainless, and nearly twice their current size because alcohol has about 1/2 the energy content of gasoline. As BB says, you would need a chip designed for alcohol that jacked up the fuel flow. Overall though, you can run higher timing with alcohol.

It wouldn't be *hard*, just *expensive*!
