Fastest stock turbo car ran 11.37 at 116.5 on 92 octane. Boost was 28 PSI in 1st, 27-26 in 2nd and 23 in top gear.

It was 23 in top gear becuase the turbo was out of air. Outside temps where 44 that day.

Keep in mind my car had 145,000 miles on it when I got it. The motor and trans were never opened let alone out of the car. I'm sure the tranny was gonna go no matter what boost it was set at.

As far as upgrades for the trans, i'd have to ask boostjunkie, but I know there are no billet parts. I think it just has an alto red band, new clutches and steels, 10 vein pump..... nothing major.

I have been told that alky does not add octane, is this true?

Not to rain on your parade, but your stock tranny isn't going to last long. Mine went shorlty after adding mucho boost. If your not gaining 25mph from 1/8th to 1/4 there is a chance your trans is on its way out. Mine was, and I picked up half a second with a rebuilt one with a re-stalled stock converter @ 2800 rpm.

Its all about the tune, you gotta spend time in the seat.

ran high 11s with the stock tranny in my Buick and TTA.. stockers can run mid 11s all day .. although we did break some drums
...this thread almost makes me want to try a stock turbo'd car again.. BUT I don't have a Buick anymore I would NOT run 20#s with a turbo'd car

Its an octane and cooling kit. it doesnt raise HP at the same boost level, it like 110 allows higher boost levels by stopping knock. This higher boost level creates the power. It under certain circumstances can create higher power than 110+ octane due to the cooling.

This assummes you have enough being shot into the motor(pump+nozzle) and tuned for it.

Alky will allow more timing and/or compression ratio w/o knock, which will allow the engine to make more HP at the same boost level and 93 octane. NO? Works thatta way on N/A cars.
