Ordered my alky kit from Julio last night. Ordered a chip from Eric.

I have a 210 cam, TA49, 60 inj, THDP ATR 2.5 with pitbulls, Anderson built engine, Champion iron heads, Vette MAF, Translator, Big Mouth Air Kit, RJC megacooler. Stock TB and manifold. The question that I have is would I see much benefits from getting a Champion Aluminum Intake?

As Razor always says, max out the current combo then upgrade. He is the man when it comes to customer service and you will love the kit.

Hey Jeff, How ya doin? I would say get a ported intake and throw more turbo to it! You got the eng. and supporting mods. of a solid 10sec. ride! Later, Bob.

Hey Bob,

I am probably getting that intake. I have been looking around at sticky tires also. Cannot decide to get them for the 15 GN rims, 16 GNX look a like, or the Simmons. What I will probably wind up doing is buying some light weight aluminum 15s for the drag radials and then switch back to the Simmons for normal driving. Also been really thinking about gettting a GT67 ball bearing turbo but that will have to wait a little while.

Hopefully I will be able to make it up to KCIR a few times this spring to meet up with you guys.

I would have done a stock Champion Ported intake to go with the heads. But being its a 49 turbo.. thats your plug.

The big issue I see is a motor that can breath due to the Champion Heads and a turbo that cant flow. If the cam were a 210 roller, i'd be doing a te45a/66mm turbo, 3400 stall converter, and start putting some real air into it. The 49 is a limiting factor. If your looking for mid 11's.. it will do. If your looking for faster than that, your stretching the 49's ability.

Guess the intake now and turbo later this year. I hate buying things and then upgrading few years later. Thanks for the advise Razor.

Anyone wanna buy a TA 49 with about 7k miles?

I probably would do turbo before I did intake. But the converter has to match the turbo. See foe the intake to be changed, you have a lot of dis-assembly.

How fast are you wanting the car to go? This should help with turbo selection. If all you want is an 11 second car.. you have the hardware to run the number.
