does any one know what pump steve uses in his kits? i had one fail b4 so i shipped it back to him and he fixed it. it just failed again and i would rather just go and buy it rather than hassle him about it. i dont know why it keeps burning up pumps. my bottle is trunk mounted...less volts to the pump??...anyways if anyone has any info on steve's pump, please share...i also just thought about using my old pump out of my car....could that work?

TIA

I'm not sure what pump he uses, but I would just contact Steve again, he's a great guy. Be sure to keep to keep alcohol in the bottle at all times, dont let it dry out.

I just had my smc kit installed today, very impressed with the quality of all the parts, it's all wired except for the ss line going into the up pipe. I have it turned off and I'm waiting for a longer ss line to be delivered. I have to wait till the end of the week to have the job finished. I have no alky in the bottle right now and it will be that way for about a week. Will my pump dry out in a week?

Thanks

Wantsatr, I think Steve has a Shurflo pump in his kit. Very nice pump, and has adjustable pressure.

Other good pumps are:

Aquamist, but pricey and some say they do not like alcohol, others say they handle it fine

Ford F150 inline fuel pumps from early 90's p/u trucks. They are made by Bosch. These are the cheapest ~ $60, and work reasonably well. This is what I have, will probably go Shurflo when it dies
