Alky questions

Before I were to purchase an alky kit what should i know? what are its benifits and downsides? What mods should i already have before adding alky?? Is it safe for a street car if used properly..

alky

before adding alky you should have a scanmaster or power logger to read the codes and to help tune the car. The car should be running well with no trouble codes and no vac leaks. Alky is the best mod you can do. I would also highly recommend a fuel pump upgrade with hot wire kit and new injectors with a turbo tweak chip.

Benefits of alky are being able to run pump gas and 20-22 psi. More boost = more power, provided you have the fuel to support it.

If you didn't have alky you'd have to run lower boost (15 psi) on pump gas, or if you were to run 20-22 psi, you'd have to run race fuel, which gets expensive.

Alky is about the price of regular fuel, race fuel is usually at least twice that amount. Yes alky is safe on a street car, it actually burns slower than 93 pump gas.

Its practically mandatory if you plan to get real power out of your car. Its very easy to use provided you get it installed/tuned professionally, but I'm no gearhead so working on anything under a hood seems pretty complex to me, lol.

Been using for 10 years now and it will put a smile on your face every time you go WOT! Only downside I can think of is that it WILL lead to you wanting additional power thus fulfilling the endless moneypit cycle! Get Razor's kit- it is proven with the Turbo Buicks and his support is the best!
