Alky system

This might be a silly question but is methinol and E85 ethanol the same? I have an alky system can i put the ethanol in it? Can i mix the methanol with reg gas and run it as race feul?

You can NOT use ethanol/E85 with your alky sysytem. Meth or water or any combination of the two but nothing with petroleum like E85. E100? Maybe...

BTW, do not mix methanol with gas for fuel. Some mix in a gallon or three of E85 but even that is questionable on a long term basis.

What can i use in replace of the ethanol for the alky system? Washer fluid?

Straight methanol is preferred if using alky control kit otherwise washer fluid should be ok or a meth/water mix is required by the other pumps, maybe even a lube additive. Alky control kit is the best as it's the only one you can run straight methanol in as far as I have seen.
