Alot of questions that need answers quick

hey everyone need alot of help here ok on the wiring harness there are three sets of two wires around where the alt is does anyone have a diagram of where they go or know off hand where they belong , also i need a diagram of the wiring setup for the starter my dad helped me take the motor a part and never labeled anything so all help will let me be one step closer to getting the car back on the road , also does any one know what size the bolt that goes in the trans where the tv cable hooks up that would be very helpful because the old one was broken in the old tranny , there is also a vacum canister that was mounted where the blower motor is with two lines coming off them im not to sure where they go , also another im- portant question where do the ground straps for the motor go and how many are there and where does the ground for the battery bolt up to the motor like i said i need alot of help nothing got labeled and we cant remeber all help is very very appreciated

There should be alot of grounds coming off the front of the engine going into the harness at the same point. It goes to the lower threaded hole in the passenger head in the front. There is a ground strap in the back of the engine that goes to the fire wall. The battery ground goes with all of the other grounds go on the head. The starter gets the positive cable from the battery along with some smaller wires. They should all be running together in the harness. The alternator should have a wire going to the battery, and wires going to a flat connector that goes into the alternator for the regulator. You should have a flat connector that goes before the alternator in the harness that goes to the AC. After the alt, you have the cam sensor and crank sensor. There is also a oil light sending unit and a water temp sending unit in there. They will pretty much fall into place and only plug into on thing. The T.V. cable bolt is a 6mm thread 10mm head bolt. I am going off memmory, so I may be wrong. I haven't worked on my hot air car since 2001.

the ground strap ....from the firewall where does it go on the motor and also what and where do the three sets of 2 wires go im not sure still they are located on the harness near the alt

On my 86GN the vacuum canister by the blower motor has two vacuum line-one gray(lower) and one black(upper). The black one goes to the six nipple vacuum setup on top of the throttle body(where the waste gate actuator vacuum line goes). With the firewall being top, the black vacuum line goes to nipple- top, third from the left. The grey line(bottom) snakes down by the fender wall. I can't tell where it goes. Good luck- Brad
