I prefer the deck on the ta head.
Both heads will flow.

I have the newer style Champion R heads, race ported. They seem beefy in the head bolt area. Also still on wait list for the new TA SE castings. I think Mike said first of the year. Many seem to prefer the TA head. I think it has more material?

My current car has Champion heads, they were on the car when I purchased it. If buying new heads I would buy TA heads.

TA heads are about 5lbs heaver each and I've never seen a TA head reported cracked.
They do not flow good out of the box.
