So i fell in love w hurst nitro stick 2. Problem is its for manual cars only. theres a 2 bolt system. Guy from hurst said its best to cut shifter and weld this on. I dont plan on racing car but def need it strong enough. not to break. any ideas on this. im in nyc area and wpuld prefer someone closer but wouldnt mind shipping it. Shifter material is t6 anodized aluminum. Id weld ot to a quick silver shifter.
thx

You are going to need to measure carefully. With it canted forward like that, it might hit the radio pod when in park.

yea thats what im afraid. im going to order from jegs so i can return incase it hits etc. i also put a call and email out to rjc to see if they can work some magic

thx for all the input but all tbe autoshifters im seeing are made of some sort of steel. so im guessing its time to ditch the idea. i may try to order ot and make it work somehow but i dont want to blow $400+ on a whim. any one ever take one of those bm quick silver shifters apart? have to really decide. appreciate it. thx again.

Welding T6 can/will cause loss of heat treat/strength....[Don't ask How I know this.]

Post a pic of the Quick Silver shifter with the housing removed...I may be able to mod it so it will bolt onto the steel handle part.

hope that helps. let me know. thx

thx Billy I saw that but I dont like the handle to enguage the gate and alao ilon the ahifter i want the button is hidden.

Well they make a replacement handle, so it can be taken apart and replaced. Without looking at one...I really cant say how long it would take to mod it so the handle would just replace the original. I have mounted several different handles onto or into different shifter bodies.
I would hate to have it shipped because I do not have a timeline of how long it would take. I do projects like this on weekends. Think it over and let me know if you want to ship it.
