I don't need an aluminum core support as I already have one but mine was shipped to me by grey hound bus and the cost was like $45.00 from Wis to Ky. Just my two cent worth.

How did you package it? Any way to insure it? Thanks for all the info.

I just shipped one of these and it costs $47 shipped and insured via UPS. I used a Mazda core support box that measured 60" in length, 20" height and 8" width if I remember right. The first time I had a shipping quote it was $114. I had to cut the height down a few inches which was no problem and cut the cost down quite a bit.

Mine arrived in a large cut down cardboard box but you could use 2 or 3 boxes taped together, It doesn't have to look pretty just functional. I don't remember if mine was insured or not.
