am i running too hot?

I usually run around 200 -220 in my 1987 t-type i think it is way to hot for the car should i replace the termostat in the car or no?

You probably should do more than that. Something else is causing it to run that high?

That's pretty warm in my opinion. I would flush the radiator then I'd put a 160* thermostat in it if it were mine.
