Well, if you want to go WAY back............

This is my MaxWedge 426 with a factory alum front end and push button trans. :)

Just off the showroom floor with Atlas Bucron tires on the rear, before the slicks and Jardine headers

Best run was high 11's, usually ran low 12's, enough to beat the Fords and Chevys!

WOW!! Where did that car end up? That thing is worth a fortune today. If I still worked at my old job i'd post pics from my boss's heyday album. His buddy owned a max wedge car and won a national event with it. Tech guys tore it down for inspection and they put it back together in the parking lot of a roach motel. He's got pics of them washing all the engine parts in the hotel bathtub. :D Plus many other racing pics from the era including his 68 z/28 and his self proclaimed "worlds fastest 74 buick apollo".

Circa 1988, that's as far back as I go with car ownership, I had a Butternut yellow 69 225 slant six Dodge Dart in 1986 but no pics that I know of.

This is a pic taken by a girl in my auto shop class back in 1997. I was working on my 1967 Chevy II Nova SS. I miss that car.

Me in my 66 Fairlane GT circa 1968. A 390 4 speed car, it only took me a year to blow that motor and then put in a 428.

That's me (about 17 years old at the time! ) installing the M&H 9" wide slicks ( ! ) on our '69 Charger R/T...
That car was eventually sold a few times and now resides in England......(last picture...) !...

Claude.

Here are a few more "retro" pics...

1° This is ME with Chrysler factory-backed John Petrie ( Notice a bit of my '69 Charger featured in my previous post in the background...to the left...)

2° This is ME with "TV" Tommy Ivo (with Don Garlits' trailer in the background)...

3° and 4° is the "King of drag racing" himself, Don Garlits at Napierville Dragway (circa 1970...)

Claude.

Here's the last two ...(for now... )

Again, ME standing besides my '69 Chevelle Malibu NHRA "Super Stock" class car...and in the second pic, the car "pulling the front wheels" at Napierville around '70-'80...:)

Claude.
