just installed poly red ones from summit they have all the lower missing bushings plus the gnx bushing now my car siuts 1 1/2 in higher and i stiff as a rock but not harsh its like riding on rails

Id have to say yes, they should. My car came up quite a bit too after the install.

Definitely helps stiffen up and strengthen the body as it makes the body and frame more rigid, less spongy between the body and frame. Mine came up enough I had to readjust the shifter linkage to the steering column as it would not go out of gear correctly to remove the key.

where in summit are these body bushings, how much do they cost, who makes them, and does anybody have a body bushing kit that replaces the bushing between the body and frame also, instead of just add the new bushings on the underside of the frame like the kits in postons, kirbans, etc.

check the internet on summit website they are part number ens-3-4141r they are 114.00 and they come with every bushing and new galvanized washers my car has 65,000 and the bushings were crushed, spit and rotted i would advise you to replace them. dont bother just putting in lower bushings you car will sit higher to just the way it did new these bushings will never wear out

Bushing Questions

  I just installed the new polly bushings also. However, i need to do some welding in the rear two bushings. Does anyone know IF we are to drill out a bolt hole for the GNX bushing? Or does it just sit in there without anything holding it?
Any Help would be GREEEEAT

just pop it in there is a hole there

I ment do I need to drill a hole in the body for a bolt to go through the bushing. so it is tied to the frame. Or does it just sandwich between the two?

its just sandwiched between the frame & body, have the gnx bush. on the '84 and it is plenty tight in there, no bolt required, just undo the rear most body mounts enough to "drop" the frame from the body a bit, i recomend a little lube of some sort on the bushing (i like to use di-elecetric grease it seems to be forgiving to rubber and boy is it slick), pry, wiggle, "persuade" it in, trust me, it will compress the bushing for a good tight fit after tightening the other mounts up. good luck, expect **** to fall in your face while doing this.

thanks again for the bushing info in summit i was oblivious to energy susp. making these other wise i would have put these on the '84 and not just the lowers. :)

I still have the Directions from GNTYPE>ORG

  I notice that GNTYPE.ORg is not up right now. I had downloaded the install instructions last week before I did mine. So if any need them please email me and I'll send out a copy. Very helpful.

Dave ;) :D :D :D :D :D
