Hey guys, i need your advice here. i was out driving my car around today, never got any boost up, i cant realy because of my hooker headers and exhaust leaks, but i pulled up to my house in the front yard, to drop off some food. when i came back outside about 3 minutes later, i got in the car, and turned over the starter, and it clicked, wouldnt turn over. i turned the key off, turned it back on, and it cranked right up, but there was alot of smoke coming out of my tailpipes. white smoke, i think it was steam, but im not sure. i saw it, and turned the car off. I opened the hood fearing the head gasket had blown, checked the oil and coolant, both were right, and clean, no mix. so i cranked it back up to pull it in the driveway, and it smoked lightly out the tailpipes, and then after i got into the driveway, it quit. wouldnt smoke anymore. it still ran perfect when smoking, no miss. I cranked it back up later, and it smoked a little bit once again, and went away. NOW< is this a head gasket blown, pulling coolant into the cylinder, and burning it off? OR, is this a turbo oil seal blown burning oil and crap everywhere, because my turbo seal i KNOW is going bad. its using oil when the turbo spins, and lately, every now and then, it will smoke on start up, and smoke whenever i got some boost. I will be doing a comp. check tommorow, to help determine the problem.
thanks and please give me some suggestions

Anyone have any tips? What is it, the turbo or the gasket? winner gets a pat on the back. Who's first?
Thanks

Sound like it is time to run a compression check or preferred a leak down test. This should tell you something about the HG.

I don't think you (in Ala) have emission testing so I won't mention using a sniffer over the open radiator neck.

OK, i did a compression check, since i dont have a leakdown guage. turned the starter over 3 turns of the engine, cold, with the throttle body closed instead of open, every single cylinder reads perfect at 140 except #6 and its at 145. all the plugs show signs of it running rich or burning oil, one or the other, they are kind of blackish, with carbon build up, and #6 is the worst, and it actually looks wet with oil or something. this may signify that the gasket is blown, although i have no idea how that happened. and the oil and coolant level and the condition of the fluids is still perfect. and the car still runs good. should i go ahead and pull the heads? or should i pull off the turbo. thanks.

im working on it right now. the plenum inside and the intake is coated in wet oil. same with the throttle body. the turbo compressor side was oily inside too, so i think its leaking. but that doesnt explain that 1 cylinder having such a wet plug. i may be looking at a bad valve seal, guide, or cracked rings. but i dont think its a head gasket. keep throwing some tips at me for things to look for. thanks
