Actually, those wastes of society in the FOX News video are going to be guilty, in my mind, of accessory to murder because you know damn well some other idiot is gonna want to be the next "hero". Just a matter of how long before they kill another cop.

Well, let's just look at where this guy is from.....Oakland !!!! There is so much lawlessness that we should just fence in that area, allowing anyone that wants to permantly leave out, and cage the rest of them in and let them see what life is without the police !!!!

Sure there is racial tension on both sides, but why is there tension? Could it be the thugs think the laws apply to everyone but them? Could it be they get roughed up a little when they mouth off and assult police? Hey, I am a pretty easy going guy, but when someone cusses at me, kicks me, spits upon me........I am going to not be quite as gentle with them as I normally would be. Guess that's why I turned down an offer to be a Virginia police officer.

"Supporting" - It goes a bit farther then that. This is what a hero is in their community!

Even a POS like that gets some support under our system. That person gets a lawyer that should make sure that whatever happens to the criminal is fair as we decided what should happen when everybody was calm and considered. Unfortunately that was not happening when the POS was doing all the other things he was doing or he would not have been out of jail in the first place.

That culture seem to be hopelessly far too different from 'normal' American culture as I know it - but then I avoid the city as much as possible - so comments about fencing them in seems like the way both sides would want it.

Does anybody really believe there will be World peace when entire communities in our own country can act so contrary to conventional morals?

I work in the Alameda / Contra Costa county area. I can honestly say there was alot more community support at the memorial services for the four murdered police officers. Traffic was a real mess that day. I'm disgusted at the few who would believe that Mixon (an ex-con, in possession of a fire arm and accused of raping six females,one as young as 12 years old) is a hero. That guy is a scumbag and it's too bad four police officers paid the ultimate price for taking down that scumbag.

Ive lived in the Bay for years. Its sad to say that yes while the cops murders are tragic it was somewhat expected. Tension has been present for decades in the Bay Area as it pertains to the police and the minorities. There was a shooting in a BART station earlier this year when an unarmed man was killed by BART police near Oakland. This isnt the first time police have killed an innocent man and this wont be the last time cops are gonna be killed while on duty. Nothing can justify the killings in either case however there are reasons why people do what they do. Maybe the cop that shot the dude in the BART station made a horrible mistake or maybe he wanted to kill the man . Maybe the dude that killed all those cops was scarred to go back to jail or maybe hes just a menace. We dont know. The cops can say whatever they want to the public and it will be accepted as the truth. The public can say whatever they want about the cops. People can say "oh take the cops away and put a fence". Will that really solve the problem of bad blood between cops and the public?

As a nation, we glorify mobsters such as Al Capone, Lucky Luciano, Bonnie and Clyde and even ficticious characters like Tony Montana. Real gangsters who extorted, murdered, raped, etc etc, and we think its cool. Why? Oh but dont let some hood brotha shoot the cops up...he's a savage right. Please people will be people whether they hold a badge or not. Lots of cops are gangsters too using the badge as shield to do whatever they like. When something bad happens they are revered as angels. I dont buy it. Untimely death is bad and I dont wish it on anyone. There are reasons for everything and maybe just maybe...God needed all 5 of these men to rest in peace.
