another question for razor

Hey Razor i got the kit about a year ago and come across my first problem
The car was choking and bogging down...come to find out i noticed the pump was turing on and off by it's self on juat a normal drive ..no boost i have it set to come on at 12lbs so i just turned it off ...it will stay on or just flicker on and off. Sometimes it will stay off but then when i hit 12lbs it won't come on...What could the problem be? Thank ..Mark

Sounds like wiring issue. Only input to the controller to activate it is the 3 bar MAP sensor. One easy test is unplug the MAP sensor connector and see if the problem still exists, if so.. then its an in-car wiring issue.

You have a "Turnon" LED by your boost guage, that one can only activate if the MAP sensor voltage reaches the "Turnon" point. And should be off until you hit the 5 PSI turnon point(or whatever it was set too)

And the power Injection bulb as well. Should only be "ON" when the system activates.

So that itself is another diagnostic point to check.

Now if all the lights Turnon, power injection, etc are not ON.. then the pump is not running. If they light up.. then we need to see why.


Now.. if unplugging the MAP eliminates all the problems.. then you need to research further..
If your 3 bar loses ground(bad plug/bad wiring/corrossion in plug, etc) the system will activate.
