Anyone running this boost valve with a HD actuator? ( I know they help with the std actuators) if so do you think it will bring the boost on faster? Car has a TE44...P&P heads..206-210 roller and a stock D5 .Alky and 91 running 21-22 psi .Car is laggy part way through 1 st gear. Will the valve help. Thanks

your converter is the problem,,,, simple

Yes I know..I wanted him to go with a 10" 3000 but sometimes the budget don't allow everything we want. Am still wondering if the valve will help. Only one way to find out . Thanks!

From everything i have heard, yes it will help, whether it is a larger turbo, or even a smaller turbo like the 44. I have considered it myself, even though I spool just fine. I am just curious.

Oh, and if you do put the RJC on it, post the results so everyone following can search and find the answers! :)

Yes it will help. To what degree, Im not sure. It takes some tinkering to get it set right. It took some tinkering with my WG actuator to get a setting that didn't spike.

I also modified the spring slightly, I cant remember what I did actually. It took me some tinkering, but in the end I am happy with mine.

Getting rid of the stock D5 was a big upgrade though.

I use one with an HD actuator on a TE44 and have no spike, creep, or control issues. I also ported the exhaust hole on the turbo before installing it. I also run an RJC downpipe with internal WG with the big puck. Boost control has never been an issue. Just put in a 2800 vigilante l/u though that I bought used, and it spools INSTANTLY now; had to turn my alky on sooner to compensate! Back to topic though, the RJC controller works and does help with spool quite a bit.

Thanks.

Thanks to all that replied to this post. Am not sure if we are going to get time to try the valve this fall but if we do I'll post the findings. Thanks Again.
