My car is totally returned to stock and ready for the big smog test. I was wondering if for whatever reason, they would give me a hard time for the A/C lines not being hooked up. The pump and heat exchanger are there. Just the lines and the refrigerant resovoir are removed. I also have all the stock intake stuff on it. Stock airbox, and the line going from the intake tube to the passenger side valve cover. Also I machined an aluminum cap that pops in the breather tower, to eliminate an open breather. I didnt like the looks of the stock filler cap. I also have the stock accordian tube thing running to the turbo, just not the one going into the airbox inlet. Is that going to be an issue?

The removal of the A.C. lines and drier is not a problem and neither is the missing inlet air scoop. As long as you have no open breathers, it should be a go. Do you have to go to a state smog station? My son always gets nailed every 2 years down there.

I dont know about a "State" smog station. There are test only stations, and I presume thats where I need to go. i would know had my wife not lost the DMV paperwork for the past 2 years, ancluding the title for my car, and letting me drive for 3 months with no insurance, when paying the bills is here thing, and if anything is out of the ordinary, she's supposed to tell me. But when we have no money and my stuff isnt taken care of, then I do detective work and find that she's been blowing all our money at the mall.
