Any adjustments on a stock trans?

My trans has started to slip occasionally. It seems to only be in second gear though. If I'm normal on the throttle it acts fine but when I get aggressive and the boost comes up it seems to overpower the trans. It shifts fine so I 'm sure the TV system is okay. I haven't changed fluid and filter in a while so I'm going to try that first to make sure it is not just a clogged filter causing a pressure drop. Other than excessive gunk in the pan is there anything else I can check while I'm in there? Are there any adjustments to the bands or the clutches that can be made without disassembly? Car has a B&M shift improver kit but other than that trans is 100% stock.
