Any Draw Backs ?

Is there any draw backs to gutting a cat.... and also which is the best method.... still need to see it to pass inspection...I dont want to spend the money for a hi flow so I was thinking about gutting it if it is not too hard...

if you just need to pass a visual inspection then go for it, some have put a pip in it to help direct exhaust flow a bit better but if you ahve emissions in your area you will not pass wiht out the internals.


to gut it get a long piece of metal and start jamming it in there, wear a mask and goggles that stuff is kinda nasty!

yeah all i need it for is the visual.... just wondering if there are any adverse performance issues...

it can only help, one thing you may wanna search for is how some guys have inserted a pipe to help smooth out the exhaust flow in the cat. i doubt it would make a huge differance but every bit helps ya know!
