This morning when I was leaving for work, I came to the end of my street, stopped, and then started moving again at maybe 5mph, while turning left. The car started jerking. I heard and felt a thunk thunk thunk coming from the drivetrain. It wasnt the engine. It felt exactly like a broken axle. While I was coasting still, I threw it in neutral and the jerking stopped. I figured for sure something had snapped in the rear. I pulled over to the side, got out and shook my rear wheels to check, but other than the small amount of normal play, there was nothing. I got back in the car and there was nothing wrong. I continued driving all the way to work which was 35 miles, and nothing was out of the ordinary. Something thats been leading up to today, was that for the past week or so, my brakes seem extremely sensitive. I would barely touch the brake and the car would brake with alot of force. Sometimes it would start skidding cause it was gripping so hard. I figured that since I filled up my master cylinder (I didnt fill too high...well below the full level), the new brake fluid maybe loosened up a sticky piston or something, and maybe my brakes are supposed to be sensitive. I remember my mom's 86 buick century had brakes that were this sensitive, so I didnt worry about it. Could it be that maybe one of my brake shoes are loose and cocking and binding up in the drum? But if that was the case, why would the jerking have stopped when I threw it in neutral? Could the tranny have been stuck between a shift? Ive had that problem since I had the car. Sometimes I will be cruising at the speed where it shifts, and it will kind of jerk between one gear and the next until I give it more gas to build up enough speed for it to fully shift. But that was usually the 2-3 shift, not 1-2 like it would have been this morning.
Any ideas?

Could it be possible one of the wheel cyl. is leaking? I had the same problem with my T and found one of the wheel cyl. leaking. If I hit the brakes hard enough, the left rear would lock up, not very good. Also my T would make clunking noises around corners, almost like a binding noise, changed my gear lube and used GM posi additive and it went away after about 100 miles of driving. :D
