When I first crank my car it slips very badly on the 1-2 shift. Even under part throttle and no boost it slips bad. After a few quick take-offs, and the tranny warms up, it seems to shift firmer. Under WOT it still slips very badly though. The 2-3 shift is firm at all times, and the 3-4 is firm but only shifts into 4th if I either let off the gas or get the rpms to almost 4,000 under part throttle. The tranny was rebuilt less than a year ago and the guy did a homemade shift kit but drilled a few holes out too big. The car didn't always do this, so I can assume it's not the "shift kit"'s fault entirely. I am planning on ordering your shift kit, Bruce, and maybe your servo. Do you think these will help? I plan to order and install them either way so when I do get it rebuilt again, if neccessary, I will already have them. Any ideas to what my problem may be? BTW a new 10 vane pump was installed during the rebuild.

DONT BUY OR ORDER ANYTHING YET!!!!

I would tend to look at the second gear circuit. Either servo acc housing or band it self. You got something going on and if you do not find it and cure it first you will do nothing but throw money at it to never cure. Ck line pressure , band clearence and acc spring before anything else. Go from there.
