they're trying to tell me that if you rev a motor WOT in park or neutral that it will make the same power and have the same amount of exhaust gasses as if you were in gear at 6K WOT

i replied over there, but after mentioning that after repeated revs to redline in our 85 i have seen 1 psi for a split second he now thinks he is right. I tried to explain but I don't think its gonna click.

Thanks!!. I can't tell you how many arguements I've gotten into with the Lee guy and others about this very same topic. It gets old very quickly

Too many guys smoking crack on that site. Some of them have very serious problems...They are not very helpful like how it is on this site and some of them are very cocky and think they know it all. I posted many times and asking for help and got no responses so I ended up finding out the problem my self or got help somewhere else.

I only go there to help some people that want to do the 3.8 swap. I go to that site for the street racing BS, er I mean stories too. Other than that, Thirdgen.org does't help me much since 90% of the guys over there dont have a clue about a buick motor..which fine but when they step in and try to tell someone how it works or what to do with it..that becomes a problem...

What we should really do is go over there and start an arguement about there cars where we completely make up the stuff we are saying and pretend we are experts. That is what they do after all. Example, we can argue that f-bodies didn't come with posi because GM couldn't find one that would fit in the car. Completely idiotic statement but it will piss them all off if we argue it.

Alright guys I followed my own suggestion. I posted a new thread in the drivetrains and transmissions forum. Feel free to do a search on my name, turboscott, and check it out. This will get a bunch of them really bent out of shape. After a while I while of them going off on me about not knowing what i am talking about I will refer them to this thread on their site. Even if you aren't registered over there it should be amusing.

Ignorance is bliss. Sounds like the thread over there is living proof of that old adage. Reminds me of a link someone posted here about some pubescent punk thru a turbo on his car without a wastegate or knock sensor and complained how crappy his Honda was because he blew it up in a few days.

I cant remember the last time I posted something in that crap hole.. Eveyone there thinks they know everything about every car. Even worse you get 17 yr old punks acting like they are master mechanics. I was working on thirdgens when you were in elementary school!!

I just wanna walk in and yell:

YOU DRIVE A CAR THAT CAN BE BOUGHT FOR AN AVERAGE OF $2500 AND BARELY BREAKS 15'S!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO ACT HOLIER THAN THOU!!!

And yes I have been thru 5 thirdgens (including the ultimate thirdgen, the TTA) so I have more than enough right to say that.
