Well, that experiment didn't last very long. My thread was already closed. Those guys get so bent out of shape if you don't praise their cars. I was going to let them know eventually that I was making a point and copy the other thread where they were telling us how they know more than us. But, it got closed first. Oh well.

I was about to do that very same thing Scott when that last guy replied saying that "they're the ones that work on the cars, they're the ones that mod them so of course they'll know about their own cars" or something to that effect.

I was REALLY REALLY biting my tongue, I really wanted to say something in reference to the thread I posted here but it was your call, I figured I'd let you do it. :D

That was my next step but OH WELL. Looks like they took their ball and went home. Bunch of babies over there. Do they really think their cars are ALL THAT?

LOL, I havn't been thier in so long I can't remember my password, And I use the same few for everything. That's bad.

Do they really think their cars are ALL THAT?

Actually they do. I did back when I drove them. You couldn't convince me that any car could do the same thing for the price. I know better now, of course. Why don't you just post this link on the other thread?

for the money I wasted on my old 87 305 TA making it break out of the high 15s (it never did) I could have OWNED outright (instead of having a loan for) the mint 87 GN I had after it..

I have to admit... those cars do feel like they are the fastest things on the road... but just remember yorue dealing with a car that is bought on average for $2500 what kinda people do you think youre gonna get????

Anyone remember my posts about how much BETTER this community is than them???

We were all kids once.....

The kids on there today will be the adults on here tomorrow.

You are right Blown, they will learn as they make their mistakes. Being i'm a 909'er myself, we know first hand that mullets and fast cars normally means only one thing,, NOISE, and not much else. They do measure their performance in decibles and not ET's you know. Mark :D

yo douche bag, that's a pretty ****ed up statement Tom, Mr. Holier than Thou, I think I'm Mr. Money Bags" LOL :D;):D

Sounds like a bunch of smart kids over there!:D I'm surprised no one mentioned driving a turbo car on a slippery road and loosing boost because of no load. It is no load right?

Oh kiss my ass you know it... There are some pople that know how to deal with it properly and can lighten up and realize there ARE faster cars out there (ala our buddies at Ne3G)... and then theres hosers like these guys who think the thirdgen is the be-all-end-all of 80's performance.....

Just the thing you would expect a lot of little spoiled brats to do.

What a minute. Spoiled brats? I thought we just went over discussing how cheap thirdgens were?

I don't really think there's a point to having feuding communities...especially ones that have cars that are both from the General. If someone acts like they know all, walk away and let them think that. They're really only screwing themselves in the end.

I think it is also important to note that they are not all kids over there on that site. There are some guys in their 30's-40's.

Being spoiled has nothing to do with monitary situation and maturity has nothing to do with age.

The only thing worse than a young fool is an old fool.

Hmmmm guess what vendor's employee just lost him a customer or two?

Talk down to the thirdgen owners in your work uniform a bit more smart guy.

I read it and they are almost on to me. They banned me so I can't respond and explain the purpose of the thread was to show them how frustrating it is when someone who is clueless about your car claims to know more than you. The difference is, I know the stuff I made up is wrong, they really believe they know what they are talking about. I am going to have to make this post short though. I am starting to get all misty eyed for being banned on thirdgen.

I hope they do come over here and I hope when they are here they will try to ACTUALLY leanr something. The only thing a thirdgen owner knows more bout than us is what the back end of our cars look like.

hey hey now, c'mon..not all thirdgenners are like that..it's just that TGO has turned into a bunch of know it alls that like to argue..there are PLENTY of knowledgable, respecting thirdgenners out there that really want to do things for the good of that community and not agrue about dumbstuff.

I'm insulted by your generalization and now I'M getting misty eyed ;) just kiddin :D:D:D

No Red, I am sure most are not, just the one's that discount the fact anyone else can have any helpful knowledge are normally the loudest. I personally love V-8 power and am in awe though of what Buick did with the GN's and T's. They are a platform that has been able to extract so much power from such a small engine it is unreal. My only problem is those that think bigger is better. It isn't always reality. If anyone is offended by my joisting back at the people there for disrespecting the members of TB.com, I am sorry, but please, it's all in good fun without malice. It's just the normal testosterone tossing done at any car meet and what makes being a car nut so fun. k? Mark :D
