Hi,

I removed and cleaned out my stock intercooler and tried to reinstall it but the down pipe to the intercooler and the turbo outlet from the turbo don't line up. I am 1/4 of an inch to the drivers side and 1/4 of an inch below the turbo outlet and they are 1/4 inch from each other (not touching anymore). (It was even before removal).

I tried to loosen bolts and move it over but its still off.

What did I do wrong? What do I do to fix it? Anyone else have the same problem?

I did mine several years ago, OOOO man it was an act of congress to finally get it back in, I dont think your doing anything wrong. Just a matter of pulling it out putting it back in and pulling and getting mad till its right!! Im sorry man, like I said Ive been there!!!

ROb I thougth you were selling your car??

I have decided to keep it for another year. I really don't want to sell it at all but its my wife that a pain in my A$$. We have 2 kids and 4 and 2 year old and she thinks we need 2 daily drivers. Right now we have a Toyota Highlander (her daily driver) and my TTA (my toy). I work in NYC so I don't need a daily driver. But she thinks as the kids get older we will need 2 cars to take them different places. It makes sense. I will probably get a 2007 G35 X Sedan (she likes it) but I would love to get a 2004 CTS-V (maybe my next toy in a few years).

But to try to sell my car and get $15K for it seems unrealistic right now so I keep it, enjoy it and try it sell next year (not a bad thing).

What:confused:

If you are saying the bracket on the driver side has a 1/4'' gap between the IC? Shim it... I had to on 2 of the 3 I owned.

If the turbo is 1/4'' higher, then clock the turbo....They did a crappy job from the factory.
