Your car, paint it any color you want, I say. Having said that a green car with burgundy interior might be a tough sell when the time comes though...just my worthless opinion.

Buick did make'um in green though. Ever see a factory sage green TR? Very rare. Very nice. :)

I looked up what a factory sage green looks like and is it a dull green?

I dont think i liked it.

Its certainly not as vibrant as the color you're considering. The sage green is not everyones cup of tea. Pick any color and you'll find some who like it and some who don't.

I wonder if maybe i should try a cyber gray, but im really liking the green i posted the link to.

I guess cyber gray would match the interior better

green wud be a poor decision. find another color. paint it the color of the 2015 Z06. its called Shark Grey Metallic. best lookn grey I've seen....

Did my project in Cyber Grey (gray) Metallic - if you can find a spec sheet on that color it shows yellow and blue in the mix. That made it a match for different color interiors in my book. Thought of tan even but I settled on dark blue. Gm has this color on SUVs, Camaros & Corvettes (of course) so you should be able to find some combinations you might like. Stripes, pinstripes, mat black two-tones & ?? A local dealer might have one in that he would love to show off.

The sage green is very rare - More than a few years back Bowling Green Nationals had one that had been repainted in/out/under with chrome trim & flash under the hood too. It was a knockout. There should be pictures around of that car. Here is one. I think we were in the white T behind it that day.

My car will have chrome bumpers, so im kinda trying to make it look like an old school muscle car.

Maybe candy red, that way the interior will work.

I like the sage color myself but, I do not think swapping the color to that metallic green that you like is a good idea.
My reasons for this are:
1. Green is not a very popular color and will make a future sale that much harder
2. Red interior is not too popular either- same deal
3. Two unpopular colors (and frankly I don't see them being that complimentary to each other) - could make this car very hard to sell
4. To paint the car correctly, it needs to be gutted. (painted in the engine bay, door jambs, trunk, etc.)- That gets expensive (A color change makes it that much more difficult)

If it were me, I'd probably stick with black or find a color that compliments the red interior. (Black, grey, white)
Maybe you could try an automotive "wrap" with a color you fancy, to see if you really like it. It's nowhere near as expensive as paint. And you can pull it off if you hate it.
Just my .02

Unless you're the Christmasy type.

Wahoo, I had a black 87 T with red buckets and the combo looked great. However I like jazz in it up some did you ever consider (could you afford?) A dark metallic design flames, lines, stripes ect.) over a solid black then clear coated so the design shows through? I've seen a few muscle cars with killer designs painted in, in subdued tones ... I'll try and find a pic somewhere.

This way you could keep it dark and classy but have something wild painted in.

Im painting the car myself, base and clear to paint it black is $200, base, translucent candy coat and clear is like $400.

Every metallic is like $200-$300, so its like why not spend a little more and spice things up.

The car is a salvage title, hot air, i plan to make it fast once its looking nice but either way i dont see it being worth a lot of money any time soon when done, so i dont know maybe a candy red would make it look so good people would want it and pay a decent price.

Thats if i ever decide to sell it.

This type of shit is absolute artwork but subtle paint tint variations simply done can make a design to behold.

Of course this is all easy to suggest and I haven't the skill to do it but maybe it will spark an idea.

Adding a design like that would be way over my head lol. Id have to spray the normal color right and then mask and tape everything off and do it again, let alone match the design on to both sides some how.
