Hmmm....odd. My 966 mile GN has no "Ziebart" plugs, no undercoating near the engine compartment or on the undercarriage. The exhaust tips are painted black but the rest of the under-side is either still shiny silver (especially gas tank) or painted black...no gooey coating anywhere.
The undercoating is just in the engine bay, the rest of the underneath is silver. I have the paperwork where the original owner asked the dealer to put this undercoating on the car, it is not from the factory, you are correct.
