I edited my post to not commit any sins. At any rate, it was not put on my GM

You must be new to GN's, My car came with a factory truck kit that looks just like his in his car, The only thing I see wrong with the GN is that it is a shame to sell it. I will never part with my car, heck I even built it it's own little shop to rest in. I have 57,000 on my GN, but it still looks new. I wish I had this GN, and it is a very NICE car.

I did not realize the responce you would receive after starting this thread. It is a beautiful car and If I had the cash I would be on that Buick like white on rice.

People stating that it does not appear original has not seen the engine compartment in mine when I bought it. The car has 64,000 miles and it looks it

Perhaps you could use some summer help? like the old Barder system.
I could clean the garage, change the oil in your vehicles, mow the lawn, walk your pets.

What do you think ;)

It's a beautiful GN and wish I could afford to pick it up. Close by too! Of course I would probably screw it up by modifying it.:D I always appreciate the guys that put these cars away so some of us who couldn't afford to buy them new could do so years later. Mine had 4700 on it when I bought it in 95. How someone could have one of these and not drive it is beyond me. Good luck in sellling it, I am sure someone will pay what you want for it.

looks very nice! but according to a kirbains book i have it says that you couldnt' get a digital dash in a gn, only turbo t and limited, i'm not sure about we4.

If that's really in his book, that's incorrect for sure as I've seen many w/the digital dash. Many people dont' like it and think it actually is a bad option to have because of the crappy 2 boost light system. Then the people w/the analog dash complain that its not accurate and add an aftermarket boost gauges anyways..so who cares if it's got digital and your gonna put aftermarket on it in the long run anyways?? Good thing about digital is it can be mod'd to read beyond 85, not sure if it will do triple digits tho?

No Hyper not new to Buicks, however that kit looks like a bad install on an old BG customs kit its not even in all the way (notice right hand side). When I got my car in 95 it was sitting in a guys yard under a cover and the engine compartment looked way cleaner than that and my car had 40K. Not three hundred miles!! I could see if it ws stored under a car port since 1987 but it was supposed to be stored in a climate controlled garage. Can anyone justify the faded headlight bezels and wax in the wheel lip moulding's. Why would a car with 316 miles even need to be waxed or if I did I would have definetley tried to do a nice job.

I'm going to double check the book but i'm positive thats what it says. and yes it can go up to 199. mine has a caspers chip that says it can go to 199, i've never went 199 before, but if the car could handle it the speedometer would show it. I kind of like having the 2 lights for boost, i also have a real boost gauge for something accuarate, but the lights are nice for normal driving, my friends call them the warp speed lights, and they just look cool. someone made a cover for the red one that says "go baby go" I've been lookign for something like that, "warp speed" would work too.

Den: That's pretty cool a + to digi dash cars then in that respect.

Nojug: Why be an ass? If ya dont like it dont' buy it. How much detail you expect to see in a crappy low res photo off the internet anyways? Lets see some pics of you better lookin 40,000 mile car so we can pic that apart too. Take a look at the car in my sig, that's got 6000 miles...have at it

I did not put the trunk kit in the car, the original owner put it in the car, and every car at the estate sale had the trunk kit. I don't know what you see in the engine compartment that is so dirty? It may not be chromed but it is clean. It has not been polished like my other GN has but that will be up to the new owner to do if he/she wishes. The car was and is stored in climate controlled garage. The place that stored the cars after the original owner died detailed the car and did not do a job I would consider to be outstanding so I had the car detailed again after I bought it. If you want to ask a legitimate question about the car please feel free to do so but to bash me and my car unjustly when your comments have no basis is just inappropriate. Grow up.

Nojug,

I have someone who wants to look at my car this weekend and I need to give him a honest description of my car. Can you do me a favor and tell me what's wrong with mine too so I can pass that along.

Nojug found a car under a rock that looks better than your car turboscott. ;) Why would a car with 11k miles even need to have the hood open? Your massair pipe is not super polished either nojug won't be happy. You better cancel your auction. :D

I will admit this car, even up close, doesn't look all shiny polished. It doesn't exactly have someone polishing and waxing it all hours of the day. It currently sits in a climate controlled storage facility about 5 miles away from its owner. he can't just go down there whenever he has free time to clean it. The facility isn't open 24 hours a day. When 1987 GN has free time in between working, house shopping and planning his wedding the place is usually closed. Plus, he just doesn't want to make it unoriginal. You couldn't get a more original car than this.

This car has had a live body in from probably no more than 3 hours it's whole life. I suppose if he put his 2200 mile TTA on here you would find something wrong with that too. 1987 GN has worked hard to collect some nice, low mile cars for his collection. It's is a bit strange that a fellow board member would bash someone else who helps preserve these cars for us.

For anyone who is interested in the car, it really is a 316 mile GN. This whole conversation is just completely idiotic.

Jmidolo if you want to see pic's of my car ( now 51K) mile car you will see it somewhere in Nats pic's it won second place in the race car class and if you have a video of Louie Lopez's wheelie pass my car was directly behind his. BTW I diden't say 1987 GN's car was ugly I just dont think it looks like a 316mi car. BTW the pics must not be too bad if I can notice all those flaws. I would like to see hat the under carrige looks like.

I have seen it and I can tell you it looks like the undercarriage of a car with 316 miles. Why do you need to see it you aren't buying it right?

The gas tank and rear-end are silver, the rest of the underneath is just as clean. It is not polished or waxed underneath though. I reviewed the pictures on my auction and I don't see the wax on the car as you said you can, which pic do you see it in. The only thing I can see in the paint is a reflection.

I was thinking the same thing. I have seen the car in person and looked it over with a fine tooth comb and I couldn't find any flaws. I wonder how you can see flaws in pictures when they don't exist in person???

The factory sprayed an undercoating under the hoods of the cars. It is like a brownish yellow color. Looks dirty. My car has it still. But you can also get the underside of the car undercoated as an aftermarket option. It is black and helps to prevent rusting. My car has that as well. 1987 GN's car has the factory stuff only. It will come off for anyone interested in taking it off.
Hmmm....odd. My 966 mile GN has no "Ziebart" plugs, no undercoating near the engine compartment or on the undercarriage. The exhaust tips are painted black but the rest of the under-side is either still shiny silver (especially gas tank) or painted black...no gooey coating anywhere .

Economy must be getting worse...did over 25k last month, only 23k this month.

Mortgage rates going up, Buick prices coming down...what's the world coming to!
