Anybody polish their own throttle body/ plenum ?

What were the steps involved and tools used ? Wanna try doing my own got some free time on my hands.
 
Go to Eastwoods. They have a whole section on polishing and you'll find everything you need there. Basically you first have to sand off the casting marks then progressively finer sandpaper and then polish with rouge.
 
I would add getting a bench grinder and a couple buffing wheels, you can get a coarse and soft polish wheel, and a compound kit which has several bars and grits for different types of metal. Myself I use a drill with a arbour but I too need to get a bench mount...anyway all this stuff is cheap and it works so well you will be looking for lots of stuff to polish. Don't forget a air/face mask.
 
Another option is to take it apart and get it vibratory polished. Just be sure and plugs the threaded holes.
