I know I am asking alot here, but hopefully somebody is running this kind of combination. I hope this is the right forum for this post. if not moderator please move it to where it should be then, thanks
I was a Mustang guy for the last 7 years and i just switched and I have had this Regal for a month now. So please help me out with the world of gbodies and 8.5" 10 bolt rear-ends.
well I was wanting to know whats your rpms traveling at when going 120mph to 130mph on a 26" tall tire. I am going to run a turbo-350 in my car and my motor i am building is built to rev to only 6500rpm on a normal basis
. I really want a 3.73 gear but I want this car to be setup for the 3/8 mile, not just for the 1/4 mile. I am sick and tired of the Toyota Supra's and Neon SRT-4's and most Corvettes griping about there cars are only fast over 100mph and thats why i beat them. and they say you are done at 110mph and I would have come around you blah, blah. (cars i have owned in the past, not this one)
I don't want to go really 150mph plus, (to me thats just stupid on the street) i just want to be able to make it to 135mph, and if i could come close to 150mph if needed, and if i am still ahead of them by then, then they need to stop griping and except defeat. I guess I am trying to find that perfect average for the 1/4mile but still have some left in her to prove a point.(ricers have this thing of roll racing because they can't hook up from a stop and always want to run 30mph-130mph). and they gripe and gripe about it when you beat them, I want to be able to play there game too.
please somebody give me a estimated rpm at 130mph with 3.73 gears 26" tall tire
and the same with a 3.42 gear
I know you are saying i could use one of those calculator formulas, but i don't know what the final drive gear is in a basic Turbo-350. So it would be great if you guys could help me out from your drag strip or street expericences or knowledge of a turbo-350 so i can figure out where i stand
is there a 3.55 gear or some other gear i could get between 3.42 to 3.73 for a 8.5" 10bolt
thanks for your time and replies in advance
