Anyone building their own fireworks for the fourth? Years ago I worked for an ammunition factory and sometimes we would make blanks with flash powder. Well, I used to take the leftover and spilled flash powder and modify fireworks with it. I would empty out the powder that was in them and add the flash powder. It would make a pretty good bang for their size. Anyone making some of their own this year?

Already did that with a bunch of m-98's and will probably do others when I have the time.

Those are M-80's... they usually went by the case and were quite fun... but supposedly they are illegal everywhere now and AFAIK noone can find em around.

now they have M-88's and they are wimpy in comparisn... I guess cause too many people took their hands off with M-80's

I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can get some flash powder. I think select photography stores have it for the really old style cameras that used it to make the flash. You can order the ingredients online but it would probably not get here in time. Anyone have some potassium perchlorate and german dark aluminum powder they care to part with?
