Anyone ever have their alternator chatter at them?

Just curious. Once the car gets hot,... and I noticed by placing my hand on it,...the alternator gets DAMNED hot,... it seems like when the battery draws current the alternator suddenly chatters like crazy.

I DO plan on replacing it,.... it also seems to charge the battery ok,.... pully is tight.

Dunno,... anyone else ever run into something wierd like this before?

Yours does that too. Ohhh man whew. I thought I was the only one who's alternator chattered at him. What does yours tell you????
















actually it probably just has a bearing going out. I'd replace it before it locks up.
