This assummes you have a great understanding of the way the chip works in the ecm. See there are a lot of patches done on current technology chips.
I dont know if it will work with the 7148 ECM. I know that chip extenders dont work on our ecm's unless theyre done through some sort of data com. This is why you dont see chip relocation sockets.
I would not mess with it. If anything, get a burner and eraser.. a power logger.. and enlist Eric at Turbotweak to make you a file.. run that.. and your chip changes you can do through email. You basically swap files through email until you have the car running as you wish.
You'll need two laptops. One to run the program and the other to log the runs with the prom paq.
