the 275/60's BFGDR's really aren't that bad in the rain. I've been caught in more than few gully washers and I had no trouble maintaining the speed limit on a rutted, rain pool covered highway.
The 60's start out with twice the tread height as the 50's and wear better. When they are cue ball smooth, they can be bad, but it took me a while to get them to the point where I wouldn't drive them in the rain.
