Im consitering one of these mattresses and thought I might ask for real world experiece with them

I sat on one the other day in the mall but with all them people around I didnt wanna look foolish all stretched out on it :D

probly once the holiday shoppers are gone I'll go stretch out on it :)

i just got a new bed i got a posture-pedic i just walked in to the store and jumped on al the beds!

mine is prolly a 7.5 on a scale of soft to sleeping on the floor. i sleep soo much better on this one as opposed to my old NO Name 15 year old mattress.

I have one of their pillows. It's ok. I like to sleep w/2 pillows, so having theirs was kinda pointless, it was very flat. $200 bux tho. The mattress looks like it would be pretty comfy. I dont think they are TOO bad as far as pricing goes vs. a higher quality regular mattress. I've got a king Simmons that cost $1900, I think the tempur pedics are right around there. The Pillow was HEAVY for such a small thing, I can only imagine how heavy a whole mattress would be!! LOL

How much do those run?

We finally got a new bed, after using mine I bought in college years ago (read: cheap!). We got a Simmons Beautyrest pillowtop. It is INCREDIBLE! No back pain, the bed doesn't shake at all (really cool) and we sleep like never before. This one is at the lower end of the line, being a queen for about $800. I can't imagine what the higher priced ones must be like, this one itself is life altering.

I'd never buy another Simmons..I guess w/the coil tech they use they are prone to sagging where you sleep even if you turn it. Mine is a "flipless" style, can't be flipped, new tech bla bla...2nd one, was replaced under warranty and about 1.5 yrs old now and sagging again.

I guess they are prone to sagging because the coils are not interconnected so they do not support each other. But this is what gives the mattress the ability to have someone rolling around on the other side and you not boucning up and down on your side. I guess it's a trade off. Had I known that I would not have gone this route. Live and learn. When this one is dead for sure I'll go w/a Sealy.

Reds,
Have had mine for 5-6 years and absolutely love it.
My body feels like crap when I sleep on anything different.

Old school here. California King size waterbed (HUGE) with the baffles in it so you don't get seasick. Nothing like a nice warm bed in the middle of a cold New England winter.:D

I have some friends that have a thermopudic mat. They love it. Plus "The King" Richard Petty endorses them. If he can sleep on it with as many broken bones as he has it gotta be good.

My wife uses a wedge and pillow with a roll to support your neck. She has reflux problems and the wedge helps with that and the neck roll pillow is good for her neck pain. She's a hygenist and has to tip her head sideways to see in peoples mouths all day. I had tried those mattresses in the stores but my complaint would be they must be kind of sweaty since the foam is so dense no air could circulate and the are HEAVY.

Great big ol' Strata waveless! (That parallel universe thing again) :D

I messed with a sample of that tempur-pedic stuff once, pretty cool, seems like it'd be nice to sleep on!

dont really see no complaints so far :)

I've been thinking about it for awhile now cause my old matress is beat (cant remeber the name brand and wifes on it asleep now so can go look) and I sleep better on the couch or in front of the computer :D than in the bed

been thru the water bed stage and had all kinds of mattresses as far as baffles go but guess I just got tired of them...I still have a king sized waveless but thats pretty much the guest room bed now

Im looking at a king size without the box to go below it so I can build my own bed frame with drawers under it like my water bed has.. the mattress alone locally is in the $1700-$1800 range.

probly could order it cheaper but shipping would probly even out the cost

on the sweating part they claim that air can circulate throut the mattress so that thats not a problem

anyone got any complaints about one ?

Reds, I have one and I've been happy with it. I don't think you'll find anything wrong it, except the price. Yes they are expessive.

Have had mine for a year now, cali - king $700 delivered. (Friend in the bussiness

I'm a Simmons BeautyRest guy also. I slept on one a few years back while out of town at a funeral, and after that I found and bought one as near as I could find to that one. I like the fact that the wife can move around on her side and I don't feel it. Also a trick I learned from the chiropractor is when I sleep on my side place a pillow between my legs. Really seem to help with the lower back pain. Good luck with your choice.
