Anyone here distill their own alcohol or homebrew their beer?

My old roommate homebrewed beer and mead and barley wine iirc. Pretty interesting process. We always had endless amounts of booze.

I wanted to try making some alcohol out of fruit, namely avocado or citrus fruit. My interest is in producing fuel grade ethanol (and maybe some on the side to spike a cocktail hehe).

I have access to lots of avocados and was hoping I could get some alcohol out of em.

Anyway just wondering if any of you out there have any experience in the process.
