I'm about to launch my "new and improved" classic car website, and I'm in the market for a hosting service. Rather than go with some ghost in cyberspace whom I'll never meet, and likely get lousy service from, I thought I'd see if I could pay a fellow TB.com member instead. Certainly no TB.com member is capable of providing lousy service, right? ;)

My site is built using Tomcat, Apache web server, and MySQL database. I am by no means an expert at this stuff, but have a couple of capable guys who built the site for me based on my direction.

If anyone does this and wants to work with me, please drop me a PM or email. The site is really cool, with lots of hi-res pics of the muscle cars I have for sale, and I'm hoping to get it up and running asap. Thanks.

I use these guys for my TR Custom Parts site. No problems with down time. GREAT customer support! Good prices, you can't go wrong with using them.:)

I have about 4 other sites I have built hosted by them.

We use easycgi.com for our hosting.. They run our small site and two others we've designed for customers....

EasyCgi.com

I use 2 of them

For my personal site I just used godaddy.com. Cheap and Fast! Worked pretty good must admit. Just did one saturday afternoon.

For my business i use http://www.computer-peripherals.com/

These guys are personal friends of mine and if you need alot of 1 on 1 support here you go. These boys are in Greenville NC and handle all my networking and computer needs. THEY ARE GREAT! I have about 40 some computers networked throughtout 5 different towns and they can do it ALL. They are big time in online gaming servers and if you understand all that crap you know that takes alot of support!

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Keep them coming!

I'm running a small deal here, where updating my inventory every week is about the most action I will undertake, so I probably don't need the heavy hitting power of your guys, sgrim, but it's good to hear there are good companies out there.

I'll check into the other two mentioned and see what's up.

I use www.valueweb.com for the company I work for.

I've had good luck with them, and when I do have a problem, I don't wait more than a minute or two to get a real person on the phone. I am very impatient when it comes to waiting for help on the phone and they haven't pissed me off yet in the 3 years I've been using them.

I'm not really sure how much or what comes in a package since the company pays for it, and our IT guys take care of the BS.
