I just had a hankering to start playing again.

Around 6-7 years ago it got all popular on my street amongst a bunch of thirty somethings family dudes and it got pretty serious for awhile. Believe it or not its a good way to kick back and enjoy an afternoon with a few brews.

You wouldnt believe how much a quality racket and table will cost you, and when you play long enough you can tell the difference between brands of balls and tables.

Its just a good ass time but its been ages since then.

I managed to play a few games in japan against my roommate and some others (military, not japanese people). Its funny because most people have this concept of the game as not really being a fast pace sport so "good" to them usually sucks

I wont forget my roommate trash talking "Man, I used to play at the rec center... you dont stand a chance, im good"

hahaha funny guy

so anyone here play any know what im talking about?

Im thinking about getting into a local club or somethin'

I was out at Farm & Fleet with my girlfriends dad last night and we picked up a table for his kids. We set it up in the basement and ended up playing for about 2 hours straight. We're just amatures though. :D

I used to play long ago at the USO. Got fairly good. Had a tournament every Wed night...I never won...finished 2nd often.
There was this guy who always won. Just scoring against him was a moral victory...he was REALLY good!!

yeah we had a guy like that that used to come and play. Even the slightest mistake and he would annihilate the ball, so i know what you mean about just scoring :) those were good times

I played for a few years until my back coundnt take it anymore:(
I had a 120$ paddle and it makes all the difference in the world.
I played everyday with a national racked guy and thats what makes you better. Play guys that are better than you and your game will improve. I ended up the #1 player in the league i was in with this guy:) I played against an all asain league and it was alot of fun to have them tell me the pin hold style was the best.
After beating all of them they said my hold works verry well LOL
I use to play a friend once in awhile that would trash talk like your buddy. Last time i played him i bet him i would skunk him 3 times in a row . After he paid me he got so mad he busted his 100$ paddle and threw it in garbage LOL You can tell i miss playing that game:(
